Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure of the nose, performed for both functional and aesthetic reasons. It can improve the appearance and shape of the nose while also restoring proper respiratory function. The most important aspect of rhinoplasty is that the result must harmonize naturally with the shape of the face, blending in seamlessly with the rest of the facial features to look as natural as possible. A successful rhinoplasty today involves the simultaneous correction of both the nasal pyramid and the nasal septum, ensuring not only cosmetic improvement but also optimal function. This type of surgery boosts self-confidence, enhances self-esteem, and generally leads to a remarkably positive transformation.

According to modern aesthetic standards for facial proportions, the ideal nasal dimensions are as follows:

  • The length of the nose should occupy the middle third of the total face length. The width of the nose should correspond to one-fifth (⅕) of the facial width.
  • The nasolabial angle (formed between the nose and the upper lip) should be over 90 degrees — up to 95° in men and up to 110° in women.
  • The naso-frontal angle (where the nose meets the forehead) should always be obtuse.
  • The projection of the nose (how far it protrudes from the face) should not exceed 55–60% of its length.
